The committee approved the development application for 224‑234 Young Street, Waterloo. The officer’s report recommended deferred commencement approval for a new seven‑storey co‑living development with 283 rooms and ground‑level retail. The voluntary planning agreement will secure a new footpath along McEvoy Street and land dedication. The recommendation was carried unanimously.

The committee also approved the application for 216‑220 Wyndham Street, Alexandria. The report recommended an eleven‑storey mixed‑use building with 111 affordable housing units and commercial uses. The affordable housing will be owned and operated by City West in perpetuity. The recommendation was carried unanimously.

The committee approved the King Street Special Entertainment Precinct planning proposal for public exhibition. The report recommended approval for the precinct management plan and amendment of the Sydney Local Environment Plan and Development Control Plan. The recommendation was carried unanimously.

The committee approved the post‑exhibition planning proposal to list three buildings in the Oxford Street precinct. The report recommended heritage listing for the former Ruby Reds at 273 Crown Street, Surry Hills, and the former taxi club at 40‑42 Flinders Street. The recommendation was carried unanimously.
